Yes, Havaianas is a Brazilian brand, founded by Alpargatas in 1962.

The name was inspired by Hawaii, the sea and sun paradise that complements the Havaianas vibe. Havaianas means “Hawaiians” in Portuguese, inspired by the popular destination, which perfectly embodies the endless summer lifestyle that’s so similar to the Brazilian lifestyle.

The design of Havaianas was inspired by the traditional Japanese sandals, known as Zori, consisting of thin rice straw sole and fabric straps. To tailor-fit it for Brazilians, Alpargatas used rubber as raw material and the rice grain format for the texture of the insole.

All the Havaianas products are made or designed in Brazil.

We use Brazilian sizing. The vast majority of Havaianas styles are made in such a way that allows each size to comfortably fit two conventional sizes. For more details on sizing, you may refer to our Size Guide.

Havaianas pairs are solely designed, marketed, and manufactured by the Brazilian company São Paulo Alpargatas S.A. In the Philippines, only Terry S.A., Inc. is authorized to distribute Havaianas nationwide. This website, www.havaianas.ph, is registered under Terry S.A. Inc.

Aside from our online store, retail stores, and authorized retailers, no other company or individual is authorized to RESELL Havaianas in the Philippines in any form. We can only guarantee the authenticity of your Havaianas pairs when bought from our authorized online and retail stores.

Any customization that is not made or approved by São Paulo Alpargatas S.A. is illegal. Illegal customization does not offer quality control and represents a risk for consumers. Havaianas Philippines does not support any kind of customization made without the approval and prior consent of São Paulo Alpargatas S.A.

We’re sorry to inform you that we don’t sell straps and soles separately at any of our authorized retail stores. If you're looking to customize a pair to fit your personality, watch out for our annual Make Your Own Havaianas event.

Because Havaianas flip-flops are made from natural rubber, it’s important to clean them with a mild detergent. Please do not use bleach. Dip your Havaianas in warm water with mild detergent for a few minutes. Use a soft sponge (non-abrasive) to clean them and then rinse them. Don’t put them into a washing machine because this can damage your pairs.

The durability of a pair of Havaianas depends on several factors, such as frequency of use and how long the pair has been used, type of use, type of floor/ground, and product care, among others.

As part of our quality guarantee, concerns on pairs can be analyzed and processed, subject to our fair use guidelines. Fair use excludes mishandling or conducting strenuous activities while wearing Havaianas (e.g. playing basketball, hiking, etc). In such instances, Havaianas reserves the right to refuse an exchange.

Yes! Before leaving the factory in Brazil, in order for you to receive your Havaianas with the high quality you deserve, our flip-flops undergo several tests.

We accept credit card payments (Visa and MasterCard), PayPal, bank deposit (BDO and RCBC), and over-the-counter payments at Bayad Center and ECPay. Over-the-counter and bank deposit payments should be settled within 48 hours to avoid cancellation of order. Once settled, please allow payment to be verified within 24 hours. We may request for identification documents for credit card transactions to ensure your security. The currency that we use is Philippine Peso (PhP).

All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Metro Manila and are sent to you via our partner courier. From the time of payment confirmation, orders are delivered within the following time frames per region.

Please note the following:

  • Delays may be encountered as there are areas with strict community quarantine protocols.
  • Over-the-counter and bank deposit payments need to be verified within 24 hours before we can start processing your order.

We ship nationwide, but not internationally, at the moment. 

At Havaianas, we encourage a happy and balanced work schedule. Our offices are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and government-declared holidays. If you place an order at the end of day on Friday, over the weekend, or during a public holiday, please expect a confirmation from us on Monday or on the next business day.

We strive to deliver your orders within three to 10 days, but we may encounter delays that may be caused by the following:

  • Unforeseen circumstances, such as natural calamities and weather disruptions, accidents, civil disturbances, and other similar circumstances
  • Shipping service interruptions
  • Access to delivery area
  • Incomplete address indicated by customer or no one to receive the order
  • Peak season and holidays
  • Customization of products
  • Specialized items

     

    DO YOU ALLOW SIZE EXCHANGE?

    Yes! We allow a one-time exchange in size. Here are just a few things we need to check when you decide to have your pairs exchanged:

    • You may return any item purchased from www.havaianas.ph within 15 days from the purchase date.
    • We can accommodate requests for change in size of the same style and color only. 
      • If the size requested is no longer available, you may choose another color or style of the same value (the retail price of the item when it was purchased will be followed).
    • The item/s to be returned should be in good condition, never been used, and in its original packaging, along with all accessories and tags.
    • Shipping costs, for both the return and delivery of the pair/s, will be shouldered by the customer. 
    • Return and refund requests due to change of mind will not be allowed. 

    To request for an item to be exchanged, please drop us an email at [email protected] and indicate on the subject line: For Exchange. Please provide us with the following details and we’ll coordinate with you once we receive your email.

    • Order number
    • Customer name
    • Address
    • Date of purchase
    • Item to be exchanged (style, size, and color)
    • Reason for exchange
    • Photos of the item

    Kindly allow us to review your information and photos. We'll be happy to guide you with the return process. 

    WHAT IF MY PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE?

    If the item received is defective, or is not what was ordered, or has missing parts, you may have it replaced as long as it meets the following criteria:

    • You may return any item purchased from www.havaianas.ph within 15 days from the purchase date.
    • We can only accommodate replacement in the same style and color as the defective item.
    • If the size requested is no longer available, you may choose another color or style of the same value (the retail price of the item when it was purchased will be followed).
    • The item/s should be in good condition, never been used, and in the original packaging along with all accessories and tags.
    • Shipping cost for the return of the item and for the delivery of the new item will be shouldered by Havaianas Philippines.

    For any concerns on the condition or quality of the pair that you received, please feel free to reach us at [email protected] for assistance. Havaianas flip-flops are assessed on a case-to-case basis. If, upon evaluation, the pair is found to be defective, we will replace it with the same style, color, and size as what you originally purchased.

    Havaianas reserves the right to reject returns that we reasonably believe are worn out or damaged through improper use. If this is the case, no exchange will be allowed and the item will be sent back at the customer’s expense.

    If you wish to refund purchases made on Havaianas.ph, it will be refunded in the same mode of payment made. Refunds cannot be done through the stores.

    We’d very much appreciate it if you can send along a photo of the pair in your email. Depending on the evaluation, we may request the item to be returned to us for further evaluation.

    Yes, you can cancel your order. Right after successfully placing your order, on the “Thank You” Page you’ll see a “Cancel” button you can click to cancel your order.

    If you already closed the “Thank You” Page, you may cancel your order in the following ways:

    1. If you ordered as a Guest, you may check your Order Confirmation email and click the “View Order” button, which will direct you to the Thank You Page on our website, where you can access the “Cancel” button.
    2. If you ordered while signed in to your Havaianas.ph account, you may:
    • Log in and go to your Havaianas.ph Account to access your transactions and click “Cancel” on the order you want to cancel.
    • Check your Order Confirmation email and click the “View Order” button, which will direct you to the Thank You Page on our website, where you can access the “Cancel” button.

    Please note that you can only cancel your order within the day you ordered and as long as you have not received an email informing you that your order is on its way for delivery. If you have received that email containing that and your order’s delivery tracking number, you cannot request to cancel your order anymore.
